TestBench 4.0: The next Generation of Test Management

With TestBench 4.0, imbus is launching the next major version of its TestBench test management solution. The focus is on faster workflows, closer integration of test design and test automation, and new possibilities enabled by artificial intelligence. The aim is to help teams make quality assurance more efficient and straightforward.

One highlight is the new Web iTORX, which can be used directly in the browser as a progressive web app. This eliminates the need for local installations, whilst also enabling flexible integration into existing processes, such as with Jira or CI/CD systems.

TestBench 4.0 is also setting new standards in the field of test automation. The integration of Robot Framework and Visual Studio Code brings business specifications and technical implementation closer together. Business testers and test automation engineers can collaborate more efficiently, whilst repetitive tasks can be automated more easily.

Artificial intelligence is also being introduced to TestBench for the first time. Among other things, the AI assistant helps with reviewing test cases, documenting keywords and presenting technical error messages in a clear and understandable way. This helps to speed up analyses and identify errors more quickly.

In addition, the Jira integration has been completely overhauled. The new two-way connection allows for the import of various Jira issue types, the transfer of individual fields, and the synchronisation of changes. This further simplifies collaboration between development, business departments and quality assurance.

With modern web technologies, low-code/no-code automation, AI support and enhanced integration capabilities, TestBench 4.0 lays the foundation for future-proof test management and even more efficient quality assurance.
