Continuous Integration for Agile Testers

What can you expect from this course?

Accelerate the communication channels between system testing and development. Take a look at the agile feedback cycles used in unit testing.

Goals of participating in Continuous Integration for Agile Testers

In test-driven, agile development projects, continuous integration is often used at the unit test level to provide developers with comprehensive and rapid feedback from tests.
However, system testing is not always included in this process. This often results in very long feedback cycles between testing and development, delaying the identification and resolution of problems.
So why not include system testing in continuous integration?

The following contents will be covered

In this workshop, you will learn how system testing can become part of your CI using the Jenkins tool, the hurdles to overcome, and the benefits to be gained.

Even without any previous experience, you will be able to set up a Continuous Integration demo system on your computer, consisting of a small software project and the associated system tests.

From there, you will learn step-by-step how to set up some of the features that Jenkins provides. You will learn how to integrate the tests and how to collect and present the test results. This experience will enable you to drive the coordination between developers and testers on an equal footing in your own project, so that in the end everyone benefits from a quality implemented CI solution.

You will learn how to identify and eliminate the typical pitfalls and apply the methodology to your own project.
